Aim
This course is ideal for those wishing to become photographic assistants or to establish their own indoor studio. This subject has been planned specifically as an extension from the Introduction to the Studio; it is therefore expected that students will already be comfortable with lighting control and studio equipment use. This is a very practical subject, and upon successful completion of this course you can expect to have a much deeper understanding of working with portable and permanent studio setups, equipment, simple construction, maintenance, design and handling.

9 x 3 hours per week (27 contact hours). 81 nominal hours (contact hours plus 54 hours for course work).

Prerequisites:
Introduction to Photography, Camera Portfolio 1, Darkroom Portfolio 1, Introduction to the Studio.
Students must have their own manually operated 35mm or larger format camera.
Materials:
Whilst all chemistry and other consumables are supplied, it is expected that students will supply their own film and paper.
