| Aim This is an introductory course for either amateur or experienced photographers who would like to learn more about photographing people on location and in the studio. Formal and informal approaches will be discussed and practiced whilst introducing students to the type of equipment which can be used in these various situations. On-going critiques and assignments will guide students in order to begin to define their own approach to the portrait. This class will run for 5 weeks in the studio plus TWO daytime fieldtrips on weekends subject to weather conditions. Duration 9 x 3 hours per week (27 hours) Topics covered: |

| Prerequisites: Introduction to Photography, Camera Portfolio 1, Introduction to the Studio. Students must have their own manually operated 35mm or larger format camera. Materials: Six hours of models fees are covered in the cost of this course, however whilst all chemistry and other consumables are supplied, it is expected that students will supply their own film and paper. Not all classes are offered every term. The timetable is updated to indicate the courses and fees for the following term about six weeks into the current term. |
