The CCP also requires persons conducting training and/or assessment to:
  • have adequate and relevant employment experience
  • be competent in the skill areas in which they will conduct training and assessment, and;

All training and assessments at the CCP will be supervised by persons who hold either:

  • a recognised tertiary teaching Qualification and the following assessment units of competence from the national competency standards for assessment:
    "Conduct assessment in accordance with established assessment procedures"
    "Plan and review assessment"

or

  • a Certificate IV in Workplace Training (Category 2)

or

  • for trainers employed on a short-term basis (for example: a trainer employed on a sessional basis for up to 3 months), work under the supervision of appropriately qualified staff that undertake to assure quality of outcomes.

All teaching staff must be thoroughly familiar with assessment requirements for the subjects they are responsible for at The Centre for Creative Photography. This should happen at the time of their induction and will include information/policies regarding
  • Summative and Formative Assessment
  • Mayer key competencies (Video and Computer support available)
  • Recognition of Key Competencies
  • Principles of Validity, Authenticity, Reliability, Sufficiency, Currency, Flexibility, and Fairness
  • Assessment plans
  • Procedure for Skills Recognition
  • Procedure for Student Attendance and Record keeping
  • Grievance Procedures

Assessment plans will be required from all staff undertaking classes, which require the assessment of students.

Assessment procedures and assessment results will be monitored by the Director and any other suitably qualified staff i.e., no classes will be assessed by an individual instructor who is not suitably qualified.
